First Crush Wine Bar, Restaurant & Lounge – San Francisco
In the heart of the San Francisco theatre
district, experience a romantic evening with posh decor and sexy
cocktails at First Crush Wine Bar, Restaurant & Lounge. This hidden
gem, tucked away in the grooviest part of town is the perfect lounge to
take a first date and/or first crush.
After sipping on a dry & sexy
crush cosmo we ate Truffle Fries, Dungeness Crab Cakes, and an amazing
organic Toybox Tomato Salad, we were ready to sample the large menu of
Wine Flights. It was a difficult decision, however the 2006 Peter
Michael (Belle Cote Vineyards) Chardonnay flight offered an amiable lift
to my palette. The wine list is extensive yet offers limited
availability.
We finished off the evening with an amazing
Parmesan Risotto (infused with summer squash, squash blossom and basil
olive oil) great for vegetarians like myself who crave a juicy taste of
continental European cuisine (sans the meat!) at a reasonable value. For
all you non-veggies you can find Cheeseburgers, Halibut, Scallops and
New York Steak on the menu.
First Crush is the best place to chill with
a first date, hang out with friends after work or swoon over and stare
deep into the eyes of an old-school sweetheart. My date wanted to keep
the evening going and so we traipsed downstairs into the private dining
area which includes one of the largest wine selections in the city.
First Crush is formidable!
